A lovely vintage ironstone serving platter by Thomas Hughes & Son, circa 1930. This piece showcases the “Avon Cottage” pattern in a rich blue transferware design, featuring charming countryside scenery and traditional floral accents. The classic oval form, smooth glaze, and timeless blue and white palette make it a versatile addition to both everyday and collected table settings.
Display it upright in a china hutch, layer it into a wall plate arrangement, or use it as an elegant serving piece that brings English cottage character to the table. Light age and patina contribute to its authenticity and enduring appeal.
