Design Plus Gallery presents an Eastlake Style Cylindrical Secretary Desk from the Late 19th Century. Its design is robust with ornamentation + plentiful in functionality. The top section allows adjustable display and storage shelves that live behind leaded glass doors. The lower section is detailed with burl wood inset panels on all drawers and doors. The desk has what is called a curved "cylinder" roll top that slides back to reveal a fitted writing surface filled with useful cubbies for organization. The original hardware is all casted brass pulls. The blotter is not original to the secretary; condition is consistent with age and use.
