The table features a nicely proportioned octagonal painted top with double bamboo edge, geometric fretwork cross-stretchers forming a low shelf, and sturdy bamboo legs with gently curved feet. Typical of the genre and period, the top features a natural hand-painted scene of birds and florals and the natural bamboo exhibits a mottled, tortoise shell treatment. The surfaces retain softly worn finishes with warm variation, lending depth and authentic antique character.
