An Exquisite Pair of Late 19th Century Antique Ornately Carved Wood & Upholstery Jacobean Renaissance Revival Carved Parlor Throne Chairs. Featuring heavily carved oak frames with distinctive barley twist supports and upholstered seat and back. The backrest features intricate carvings, including two eagles flanking a central shield motif with the letters RB. Barley twist side supports, turned legs and cross stretchers. The seat and back are newly covered in a golden velvet with matching decorative trim and tassel fringe along the edge of the seat and backrest. This ornate style exudes a sense of luxury and sophistication, making it a perfect choice if you wish to bring a touch of classical elegance to your interior.

In good antique condition considering age and history. One chair has been broken across the top and repaired as shown in one photo from behind. It is missing a few pieces of the carved pattern as one can see when comparing the two chairs. In my opinion, it is not easily noticeable to the untrained eye. also, the bottom rails, legs, & a little bit of the frame are scuffed in places.
