The piece features an ornate cast metal stand with two faceted clear glass ink holders and hinged metal lids. The stand includes upper brackets designed to hold dip pens, along with an integrated rear holder for calling cards or correspondence, making it a multi-function desk accessory typical of late 19th century writing sets. The stand shows beautiful architectural and geometric detailing, giving the piece strong Victorian era, Aesthetic Movement, Gothic Revival character. The faceted glass ink pots catch the light beautifully and contrast nicely with the dark aged metal finish. A wonderful decorative and functional desk accessory for an office, library, or study! I love that you can use the beautiful glass pots as catchalls, and organize pens and cards in the back. Really, just a stunning piece. See less
