A rare 17th century English bronze tripod skillet, also known as an apothecary pan, featuring the classic three-legged form and beautifully cast construction associated with early domestic and medicinal wares. These heavy bronze pans were used for heating, melting, and preparing mixtures, making them important tools in both kitchen and apothecary settings of the period. This example shows rich patina and strong historic character. An exceptional early piece for collectors of English bronze, apothecary artifacts, or pre-industrial cookware. Good antique condition with surface wear, patina, and casting irregularities consistent with age. Tripod legs are sturdy, and the bronze surface shows deep, authentic aging.
