This has been a great tradition of carving stone and shell cameos dating back to antiquity, this cameo brooch is finely carved with a swiveling well carved portrait of a Neo-Classical maiden. To the rear under a crystal panel is a lock of hair and a slightly macabre tooth of the lost loved one!
The gold swivel locket is set into a 10k yellow gold locket with a 'rope-twist' border and embellished to the top and bottom with acanthus leaves, there is approximately 14 grams of gold and overall weight is 24 grams. Condition is very good. See less
