The … Read more A charming late 19th-century brown transferware platter with an intricate vine and clover motif characteristic of the Aesthetic Movement. The rectangular form with softly rounded corners lends a refined presence, while the restrained central medallion balances the densely patterned border. Made in Staffordshire, England, of ironstone/earthenware. Measures approximately 11" wide, 7.5" deep and 1" tall. Good antique condition with allover crazing, age toning, edge discoloration, and minor glaze staining consistent with Victorian ceramics. Several small surface-level scratches observed. A faint impressed/ghost mark appears on the back connected to the maker. A perfect addition to any brown transferware collection. See less
