Antique Flame Mahogany Library Armchair, late 19th Century - a superb piece of Empire seating.
Richly figured flame mahogany chair with elegant scrolling open arms and shaped cushioned back rest, ox blood red leather upholstry with individually applied hammered nail heads. Swept back legs with original castors.
The crest rail features a magnificent piece of flame mahogany topped with 'twisted rope' detailing.
Very good antique condition, structurally sound with age appropriate signs of normal use as pictured.
A very generously proportioned chair, very comfortable and welcoming.
