We are pleased to offer for sale a tabletop clock with alarm, crafted in the mid-20th century Modern period yet clearly inspired by the 1930s. Made by the German clockmaker Europa, a leader in travel-clock production, this vintage piece echoes the work of Paul Dupré-Lafon for the luxury house Hermès, featuring equestrian decorative themes such as the stirrup motif and stitched dark-brown leather. The clock is in perfect working order, having been recently serviced by a professional. The manual movement is wound from the back using the single wheel with a ring; the other wheels adjust the time, set the alarm, and the smallest one turns the alarm on or off. The contrast between the gilt metal and the stitched dark-brown leather is particularly elegant. The clock’s case is made of beautifully patinated brass, echoed in the gilt-metal details including the hands, numerals, bezel, and most notably the stirrup element. As mentioned, this vintage desk clock is fully functional and in good vintage condition. Light signs of age and use are present, such as a small scratch on the dial, which has been highlighted in the photos. official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
