This is a white Minton plate with gold encrusted trim at the verge and on the outer band and rim. It has a pale duck design painted in the center. The duck has some added details that really did not show well. There are some raised white details in the water below the duck and on the duck. The back of the plate, in addition to the Minton mark, is marked Wild Duck, I do not know who wrote that. I cannot find such a pattern, but the Minton backstamp dates this plate to about 1891.
The plate measures 9 1/8 inches across.
The rim, verge and outer band have a gold encrusted design with some gold beading. There is no wear, damage or missing pieces to this trim. The white is still shiny and the duck is unexpected.
There are no chips, cracks, or other damage.
