This exceptional bowl is a handcrafted work of art by the renowned Danish ceramicist Ernst Faxe. Made in the popular Fat Lava style of the 1950s and 60s, the piece is distinguished by its bold, textured glaze, which shines in vibrant rust-orange, black, and blue tones. The colorful flowing glaze is particularly striking, giving the bowl a multifaceted, lively appearance and making it a truly unique piece. The meticulous decoration—with red and blue accents and an impressive color gradient that extends to the black underside—makes this bowl a remarkable example of Danish mid-century ceramic art.
