FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL US! This is an antique Victorian picture frame. Late 19th century. Ebonized wood and gesso with gilt accents. Gold inner liner. The frame measures 25 3/4" x 20" and has a rabbet opening measuring 19 7/8" x 14 1/4". 2 1/4" deep. As you can see, there was a later addition added to the back. There are two areas of obvious loss to the front, which I point out in the second photo. There is also some cracking to the gesso on the outermost part of the frame and, although the corners fit together perfectly, one of the corners needs to be tightened and secured. This is obviously a project for someone who can hopefully restore it to its original beauty.
