Produced by FFR in France during the 1950s, this vintage wall clock reflects the refined balance between functionality and decorative precision that defined mid-century French design. Its square Formica body in glossy black is edged in coral red and features an ivory dial with raised numerals, a black central disc, and brass hands framed by a glass window.
The clock operates with its original mechanical movement, complete with manual winding key and gentle chime marking hours and half-hours. All components remain original and in excellent working order. Signs of time consistent with age (oxidation in the back metal body).
This rare FFR wall clock exemplifies the postwar pursuit of elegant domestic objects that combined modern materials with timeless style — a fine collector’s piece, both functional and sculptural. This piece has an attribution mark,
