Rare complete service reissued by the sèvres manufactory in 1890, after the famous “service of emperor napoleon iii” designed for the imperial palaces.
a magnificent 29-piece porcelain dinner service made by the royal manufactory of sèvres in 1890, as an elegant re-edition of the legendary service of emperor napoleon iii.
each plate bears the iconic gold monogram “n”, a tribute to the imperial household, surrounded by a fine gilt rim and laurel motifs.
unlike the original imperial service, this refined reissue omits the crown above the monogram — a deliberate choice that preserved its grandeur while adapting it to private collectors of the late 19th century.
