Condition: Very good with a small minus – a few barely visible spots and slight fabric detachment from the shell around the seat area. Upholstery has no holes or abrasions. The chrome base has been polished and shines beautifully.

The designer, M. Sodeau, was inspired by the shape of an oyster shell, hence the name “Oyster.” The form of the shell is rounded, protective, and secure – the chair reflects these qualities by enveloping the user and creating an intimate, cocoon-like space. The armrests open outward, symbolizing “a space to breathe” in environments full of stimuli.
