This fine small art nouveau jewelry dish or tray was manufactured by the famous wmf (württembergische metallwaren fabrik) in germany around 1920.
the high-quality piece has an elegant wrought and hammered decor, probably with the initials 's' and 'r' as well as an exclamation mark ' ! '. Personalized orders such as initials could be placed with wmf at that time and were also very popular for luxury gifts.
it comes with the embossed mark from wmf which also features an ostrich and was used around 1920, the so-called 'straußenmarke'. This piece has an attribution mark,
