Pair of sculptural Post modern lounge chairs from the 1970s. Each chair is hand woven in rattan and finished in its original red lacquer, paired with black leather cushions. The two chairs can be used independently as lounge seats, or pushed together to form an elegant two seater sofa.
The silhouette is fluid and organic, with curved side profiles and a floating seat line reminiscent of Italian post-war craftsmanship. The combination of red lacquered rattan with black leather creates a strong graphic appearance and gives the pieces a striking gallery presence.
