This Really is a Nice Looking Authentic Antique American Country Primitive Stoneware Storage Crock. Circa Mid 19th Century. With Side Handles - "Ears". It has a Very Nice Uniform Color Classic Early American Salt Glaze Exterior. The Interior is Done in a Dark Caramel Brown Color. The Front has a Very Nice Cobalt Blue Hand Decorated Stylized Flower Design. It has No Maker or Storage Capacity Marks but it is Rendered in the Small 1 Gallon Size. Back in the Day These Types of Stoneware Items were a Necessity in Most of Americas Farms and Household's and They were Made - Intended For Everyday Utilitarian Use. These Types of Crocks were Commonly Used to Store a Variety Food and Other Items. It is in All Original Excellent Condition and Displays Beautifully. Imperfections Noted - 1 Very Small Chip on Top Rim Perimeter. No Cracks - No Repairs - Strong - Sound and Perfectly Usable. NOTE That the Front Area Left of the Blue Decoration has a Sag - Indentation that Occurred in the Kiln Firing Process. Top Rim Also has a Few Glaze Spots Imperfections these Also Occurred in the Making. Stoneware Pieces Like This were Fired in Very Large Kilns with Many Other Pieces at the Same Time and These Types of Kiln Flaws are Quite Common.

8 inches Wide at Top Rim.
