Stunning famille rose Asian bowl, heavy in feel, a crisp white with colors of gold, burnt orange, kelly green, rosy … Read more Stunning famille rose Asian bowl, heavy in feel, a crisp white with colors of gold, burnt orange, kelly green, rosy pink and baby blue, it is larger in size making a statement. Scenes of court life are depicted around the entire inside of the bowl and outside of the bowl, alternating between panels of floral and fauna. A Greek key pattern is at the rim on the inside of the outside with a stylized traditional bat pattern. A mahogany stained stand accompanying it, it is lovely to display.

Bowl is in very nice condition, without any chips, and without any cracks. Minor loss of the gold paint around the rim likely from handling, some imperfections in the hand painting of the ball that include over painting, or some uneven glaze. We found some small bubbles that may have popped and firing, giving a small pockmark to the surface of the paint. Some intentional aging where a stain may have been applied to a design to give it a darken defect.

Hallmark on the bottom with a retail label from Wildwood. See less
