An exceptionally scarce French art deco occasional chair designed by Sue et Mare circa 1920s, model “David-Weill”. Original finish intact. Acquired from a distinguished art deco collection in Colorado.
Chair is unmarked. Several versions of the David-Weill model are documented in auction catalogues and the authoritative 1993 text “Sue et mare et la compagnie des arts français” by Florence Camard.
