This is a large set of Copeland Spode Green “Chelsea Birds” Pattern from the mid century. Chelsea Birds is one of Copeland Spode's most famous 20th-century patterns, inspired by 18th-century Chelsea Porcelain bird scenes. These designs show exotic green birds placed in garden-like settings on clean white or bordered grounds. Notice the birds are in different poses based on the size of plate. This is fine earthenware and in excellent near antique condition. We saw a tiny bit of crazing on a few plates, but very little. In fact these look like they were not even used. These would be fantastic for the holidays or any season. Pair with red and gold for holiday, yellows and pinks in Spring, Blues for Summer and harvest colors for Fall!
