Hand-forged and welded, this artfully-crafted rocker, designed after the iconic Thonet Model B-808 bentwood rocking chair, was likely custom-made in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The amalgamation of several design elements such as the Italian Modern leather-webbed back rest, it's Brutalist exposed metal tubular frame and Minimalist Mid-Century Modern seat all work together to form a truly extraordinary piece that is as functional as it is aesthetically captivating.

The hand-welded and bent frame is in original condition and shows a wide array of patina with areas of spot rust, chips in paint and scratches that add to the chair's commanding character. We love the patina and left the frame in its original, character-rich condition. If you prefer to have it restored we offer a full service restoration shop. Message us prior to checkout to discuss options and pricing. The worn leather webbed backrest is in original condition and shows patina and use but showing no broken straps. The seat, custom-made and freshly upholstered in a genuine Italian leather hide in a warm mocha color, includes new medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity. The hand rests were also hand-stitched by our upholsterer adding comfort and warmth. The rocker is perfectly balanced and currently retains softeners on the legs to prevent scratching floors but is removable if desired.
