Mary Alice Hadley established one of the most iconic and well-known potteries in the USA, in Kentucky in 1939. Unable to find sturdy dishes that she liked that could withstand life on a boat, she designed her own. They were such a huge hit with friends and acquaintances, that she began taking orders. Soon, a business was born.
The Country Scene Blue collection became quite popular in its early days in the middle of the 19th century and has regained its popularity since the line was discontinued in 2022. This casserole dish from the collection, sports a cow and a pig on the lid and the classic "The End" on the inside of the base. In good condition - appears unused.
