An Exceptional and Handsome French Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Mantle Time Piece of outstanding quality. Made in France by the renowned J. B. Delettrez. Mid Nineteenth Century.
The main case embellished with decorative hand painted Sevres porcelain rectangular panels in colours, on top is a large seated scantily clad Fisherwoman holding her catch, raised on elaborate scrolling detailing supports.
Both clock mechanism and original pendulum are stamped J B D. Circular original white enamel dial with Roman Numerals and stylish Breguet hands.
Condition: Good overall condition with no wear to gilding and no losses anywhere. **This beautiful clocked if offered in need of a general service, this is best done when it arrives at its new home, it currently is active working only for short intervals, but all parts are present.
