This Henkel Harris “Lady Astor” Queen Anne Wild Black Cherry Slant-Front Writing Desk has elegant forme and is a refined presentation of traditional American furniture with 18th-century design.
Premium solid Wild Black Cherry wood
Slanted fall-front and draped apron
Interior fitted with a central locking cabinet with arched panel door and brass key, tiered pigeonholes and letter slots, two curved document compartments, and four dovetailed drawers with brass knobs
Solid brass hinges and lock hardware
Elevated cabriole legs with delicate pad feet
Drop-front opens to reveal elegant writing surface
Very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate signs of past use.Surfaces show only light-scuffing at high-touch areas, consistent with gentle use A few small finish marks and faint surface impressions are visible, including a subtle ring and a few minor surface marks on the fall-front panel consistent with age and light use. Brass hardware shows mild patination.
