About the Poster: This oversized poster was issued in France for a film called Monsieur Verdoux starring Charlie Chaplin. Monsieur Verdoux is a 1947 American comedy film directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin, who plays a bigamist wife killer inspired by serial killer Henri Desire Landru. The supporting cast include Martha Rare, William Frawley and Marilyn Nash.
It is in good shape but has definite fold lines which will flatten when framed. With its beautiful colors and fantastic mid-century modern style, it is a spectacular tribute to poster art, and film. Minor issues (please see photos), but in overall very good condition.
We love this poster and just acquired it from France! Perfect for a home theater, living room or any space that needs a pop of color.
