This is a fabulous LARGE vintage embroidered kalaga featuring the majestic elephant. The cotton tapestry has a black background and the elephants are covered in shiny sequins, beads and embroidery. The elephants are fleshed out giving them a 3D effect. Made in Myanmar, which was known as Burma up until 1989. This kalaga measures 35 1/2" x 67" wide. Hang it as is or have it framed for an even more stunning effect. There are many many sequins and beads and some do tend to fall off when you move the tapestry. But once in place, there is no problem. This kalaga is in very good condition. Please see last photo to see what it looks like framed. FRAME IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE!
