A charming set of six vintage English bowls from Johnson Bros., England, in the beloved “Pomona” pattern — part of their Windsor Ware line. Each bowl is decorated with a classic still life of fruits and flowers, transfer-printed in rich sepia and then hand-colored in warm tones of coral, green, yellow, and plum.
The softly scalloped edges and embossed handles give them that unmistakable English country-house feel — practical, pretty, and perfectly imperfect. The backstamp reads:
“Windsor Ware – F B & Co – Johnson Bros England – ‘Pomona’ – Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.”
used from around 1940 through 1950.
