This truly is an Exceptionally Nice All Original Matched Set of 3 Late 19th Century English The set includes a … Read more This truly is an Exceptionally Nice All Original Matched Set of 3 Late 19th Century English The set includes a Half Pint - Pint and Quart Measure. The Fronts of each are Hand Engraved - Imperial Measure. They are Completely Hand Made with the Half Pint Measure having the Makers Name LOFTUS 321 OXFORD LONDON W. Embossed in he Interior Bottom. The Pint Measure is Embossed with the Name FARMILOE & SONS - LONDON - Possibly the Retail Seller ?. The Classic English Tankard Style Bodies are made out of Solid Pewter and the Top Rims are Solid Brass.
Each is Stamped with the Crown V. R. Mark that denotes that they were Made During the Reign of Queen Victoria. This Mark Became Required by British Law in Approx. 1878 as a Guarantee of Measure Accuracy. These were typically used in a Number Places Including Pubs, Markets, Restaurants, Breweries, Farms Etc. The set is in Very Nice Condition. Note! That the Bottoms on 2 are Hand Engraved with Notations ( I was Not Able to Decipher See less
