Created in France during the last quarter of the 18th century, this walnut sculpture charms us with its skillful execution of a chubby putto sitting on a comfortable brocade pillow resting on tassels. Tilting his head to the right and showcasing an endearing expression accentuated by his smile and nicely carved pupils, his is extending his right arm upwards in order to grasp something invisible to us.
