This exquisite French pottery features a round dark brown body, adorned with an exuberant floral décor, typical of the barbotine productions. The barbotine being quite malleable has allowed the maker to apply an abundant décor made of colorful flowers cloaking within their bosom a delicate bird's nest with its eggs. The pastel colors used on this applied décor is made of light pink, blue, yellow and green, contrasting beautifully against the darker background. Its small proportions and lovely colors will make this French covered bowl pottery an excellent decorative accent in any room, perhaps placed on a small chest of drawers, shelf or guéridon table.
