Hazel Atlas debuted this fun-to-look-at pattern, Fine Rib, originally during the Depression Glass era. The original collection, made only in beverage sets, consisted of clear, pale pink and cobalt blue glass. The vibrant fired on colors were introduced in the 1940s and continued into the 1950s. Incredibly colorful and eye catching, the beverage set includes the larger tilted jug; Hazel Atlas made the jug in two sizes, 40 oz. and 80 oz. Though designated as an 80 oz. jug, it will comfortably accommodate about 94 oz. The set includes eight tumblers in four colors, two tumblers in each color. This beautiful set is in excellent condition with colors that are vibrant, without wear. There are random inclusions, not unusual in glass, original to the manufacturer as a result of manufacturing process.The intentionally tilted jug has an ice lip and measures 7½” x 8” H/W; weight 2 lbs. 12 oz.; official capacity 80 oz. but will comfortably accommodate up to 94 oz. Each tumbler is 4” x 3” H/D; weight 6 oz. apiece; official capacity 8 oz. but will accommodate 9 oz. to the rim. Medium is clear pressed glass with fired-on colors in bright orange (reddish orange), butter yellow, cobalt blue and a Jadeite shade of green. Fabulously cheerful, it’ll turn heads at your next gathering!
