The central piece is a hanging gold, but the real stars of the show are the hallow brass figures holding it up from either side. They are dressed in 18th Century French clothing and look like characters from a Dickens or Victor Hugo novel.
It includes a matching felt mallet with a resting place in front of the gong. The whole things is mounted to a wooden base with a felt bottom. It's in good condition except for some scratched on the wood. The string that holds the gong may not be original. It sounds like a classic gong too! See less
