Antique hand painted Minton tiles. the middle sections were at some point replaced with wood to match the size of the other tiles and hand painted to work. The origianl tiles must have been lost or beyond repair. The framer has covered the backs so you can't see the signature of the artist that painted the wood tiles but they are a wonderful match. I am sure these were the sides of a tiled fireplace front. They were recently framed to start a new life.
The outside frame measuremetn is :19.25" x 7.25"
