Habert Dys is known for his fanciful decorative designs for ceramics, wallpapers, textiles, vases, etc. His work is intricate and exquisite and reflects the Japanese influence at the time. Habert Dys' works are found in museums and library collections around the world and are often sold at auction. This image is one of a series we are offering; please see companion images in our shop. It is a botanical inspired design of the daffodil blossom. It was originally a design for wall paper patterns. It is a delicate motif. Please note that all the gold work is done with metallic gold inks. This is unusual, quite rare and unique to this period. This feature is most exquisite and is even more beautiful in reality as the scan can't quite capture its beauty. The lithograph is pristine; it is signed in stone by the artist. 7.5 x 10. 5 inches in size. Comes matted in a neutral tone 16 x 20 inch custom mat ready for a standard size frame.
