Contemporary painted porcelains from Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China located in Jiangxi Province exhibit qualities that are well matched to the famous Qing Dynasty ceramics of the 18 century. This large bottle vase with a long neck and bulbous body is painted with the same technique as a traditional Chinese painting. The beautiful colors are fired without a flaw. The lotus flowers standing among the foaming waters over lotus leaves with fluttering dragonflies are inspired by Song Dynasty bird and flower paintings. Potting of the vase is flawless and it is presented on a carved wooden base and a custom made brocade covered box.
Please note the vase has a diameter of 15 inches and a height of 23.5 inches. With base the height is 25 inches. The brocade box is 26 x 17 x16 inches high.
