An exceptionally rare early 19th century Chinese export blue and white porcelain shrimp bowl, exquisitely hand painted with a detailed village scene beside a bridge and tranquil waters. The design captures the poetic charm and balance typical of the Canton style during this period.
The bowl is further distinguished by two sculpted shrimp heads adorning the rim, a unique and symbolic feature representing abundance and good fortune. Its refined form and brilliant cobalt decoration demonstrate masterful craftsmanship and artistry.
