It is tall and square … Read more This is an interesting bottle - a glass bottle made specially to resemble banded agate. It is tall and square in shape with broad shoulders and a short neck with a flat top. It tapers towards a recessed foot with an oval foot ring. The color is a clear beige with color striated bands ranging from light orange to dark red which wrap around the bottle. Some striations are thin lines appearing exactly like bands as they occur naturally in agates. Although it appears like it was a simple process but in reality is it not. The glass maker has to apply the striations to the glass before the bottle was blown. The cap, as well as the bottle were made for the Mongolian market. The material for the cap is dyed coral on a brass mount and brass spoon.
