This charming vintage Italian Capodimonte porcelain trinket box dates to the later mid 20th century, likely the 1960s, and features a beautifully sculpted shell form accented with delicate hand-applied flowers in cobalt blue, white, and gilt.
The ribbed shell body creates wonderful texture while the dimensional floral decoration adds a touch of classic Italian craftsmanship. A removable lid lifts away to reveal a small compartment perfect for rings, earrings, or other treasured keepsakes.
I especially love the combination of the crisp white porcelain with the vivid blue accents and gold highlights. The shell shape gives the piece a subtle coastal influence while the floral details keep it elegant and decorative. Marked Capodimonte Made in Italy and retailed by Samuels on the underside.
*A coordinating shell trinket box in an alternate colorway is also available separately, making these especially charming displayed together. You can see both in the 10th photo.
