Direct from southern England, a superb one-of-a-kind antique English decoupage container/cachepot. This vessel was restored and recently decoupaged with a gorgeous seashell motif on all sides, having a black lacquer/painted background, with a classical Greek key border along the top and bottom.

The cachepot is a very large size, with twin metal handles that flank the sides and provide sculptural balance. Circa late 19th century and recently restored.

The excellent attention to details by the artist provides a cachepot with decorative opulence and results in a sophisticated, relevant addition to today’s home, versatile for a beach house or lake getaway, perfect for the fireplace, powder room or to display your favorite florals.
