There is a … Read more Stylish brass and clear glass pentagon-shaped keepsake or trinket box resting gracefully atop five bun shaped feet. There is a hidden hinge on the backside which allows the top of the box to open all the way (see photo 7) without placing stress on the hinge. I’ve kept it polished as seen in the photos but it’s not necessary. If your preference is a vintage patinated brass look, it will age naturally over time. I photographed the box in the round to show all sides and nuances of the design and construction throughout. This beauty measures 6” x 6” x 6” W/D/H; interior 5½” x 5½” x 3” W/D/H; weight 12 oz. In excellent condition with age-appropriate oxidation to certain areas of the brass (see the bun feet - photos 6, 10 & 11). Of note, the top’s front does not lie entirely flat (see photo 1 & 2) and there is a “seed” or small bubble that formed inside the glass on the front left side panel (see photo 1 & 2) that is original to the manufacturer and not uncommon in glass production, neither affects the beauty or utility of the box. Unknown maker.

Perfectly sized to safekeep small treasures on a vanity or dresser top or the perfect gift for a collector of trinket or keepsake boxes.
