This beautifully modelled example features a finely sculpted female hand delicately grasping a horizontal bar, positioned to strike against its original scallop shell backplate.
The piece displays superb sculptural detail, from the carefully defined knuckles and ringed finger to the elegantly shaped cuff and Rococo-inspired scallop shell striker plate.
