Elegant and architectural pair of 1950s Italian TALL ladder back chairs in the style of Gio Ponti’s iconic Superleggera dining chair. These striking side or occasional chairs feature tall, sculptural backs with finely carved horizontal slats and hand-woven natural rush seats, exemplifying the refined craftsmanship of mid-century Italian design.
While not officially attributed to Ponti, these chairs were made in Italy during the same era and strongly reflect the aesthetics of his work. Similar examples were retailed through Italian design houses such as Casa & Giardino, known for offering high-quality modern furnishings during the mid-20th century.
