This exquisite pair of 19th-century side chairs beautifully represents Philadelphia’s Rococo Revival period, circa 1845. The chairs are hand-carved with floral crest details and feature sculpted backs and elegant curved legs characteristic of high-style American craftsmanship. Each seat is professionally reupholstered in fresh paisley jacquard fabric, blending period beauty with modern comfort.
A handwritten note attached to these chairs suggests they may originate from Frank S. Schwarz & Sons, 1806 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia. However, provenance cannot be guaranteed. (see photo included).
