The scenes depict … Read more Striking pair of Chinese porcelain lidded jars featuring hand-decorated mountain and river landscapes framed within oval panels. The scenes depict pavilions, bridges, and trees rendered in soft celadon greens and blues. The red seal mark on the underside is an apocryphal Qianlong reign mark, used to honor the artistry of earlier Qing dynasty porcelains rather than to indicate the actual period of manufacture.

The bodies are finished in a rich deep plum glaze adorned with scrolling turquoise vines and floral accents, giving them a vibrant Chinoiserie flair. Each jar has two unique painted landscapes, so they can be displayed with either scene for variety and visual interest. A stunning pair for a mantel, entry console, or sideboard display.
