Elegant porcelain compote in the Dresden style, featuring a romantic courting couple scene framed by colorful Dresden-style flowers and lavish gilded accents. The pierced (reticulated) bowl and ornate pedestal base reflect the Rococo influence popular in early 20th-century European porcelain.
The compote measures 7-3/4" high and 9-3/4" in diameter. It is in excellent antique condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a maker’s mark “R” on the underside; while the exact maker is unconfirmed, the style and craftsmanship are closely associated with Dresden porcelain pieces of the early 1900s.
A beautiful decorative centerpiece for a dining table, sideboard, or curio cabinet—showcasing the timeless charm and artistry of fine European porcelain.
