Created in England during the reign of king George III, this tall case clock features a slender silhouette perfectly complimented by a black and gold Chinoiserie décor. The clock is topped with a rectangular head showcasing a delicate rhythm of turned finials and thin columns with gilded Doric style capitals, leading our eyes to discover the exquisite face secured behind a glass panel. This face is made of several dials surrounded by brass scrolling motifs. The larger dial presents Roman hours and Arabic minutes. It is signed Ben Goddard London.
