Printed in 1979 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the " 1903 - 1970 : A Retrospective " iconic exhibition. It features an Abstract Expressionist artwork image originally created by Rothko in 1949 titled " Violet, Black, Orange, Yellow on White and Red ".

Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1970 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Rothko is considered to be one of the most important and influential American painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print framed Abstract Expressionist poster print measures 22 3/4" W X 33 3/4" H X 1 3/8" D.

It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte brushed brass finish gold tone metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some light minor wear.
