It is also the biggest one I've ever seen. This beautiful vase is signed by Ken Edwards, the renowned ceramicist famous for Innovating Tonala Pottery. He died July 31st 2022 at the age of 96. Ken Edwards was a ceramic artist in the U.S. who studied with renowned tutors he then traveled and studied in Japan and wound up in Mexico where he found a place to have his own studio. He used the high fire techniques found in Japan plus making them lead free, mixed with the traditional Mexican designs to create an elevated piece of art. See less
